The Great Rivers Council Summer Camp Staff is committed to providing the best possible program during your Troop's week of camp. Our goal is to be friendly and responsive to the needs of your unit, and to set an excellent example of what Scouting should be to all those attending camp. The staff is carefully selected and trained to assist in your stay. They are ready to help you at any time. Each year our camp program gets bigger and better. Please take time to review the materials on this site as you prepare for your adventure at camp. With over 50 different merit badge and activity offerings, more new Sons of Daniel Boone activities, and further improvements to our camp schedule, we are continuing to redefine what a summer camp experience should be. The fee for Summer Camp 2010 will be $225.00. Camper Savings Day is May 1st. If paid in full by May 1st (June 1st for this year's Webelos Cross-overs), the fee is reduced to $200.00. If financial assistance is needed, Great Rivers Council Scouts can apply for campership assistance by submitting a Program Grant Application to the Council office. Scouts can also attend a second week of camp at half-price ($112.50). Scouts will attend as a guest in one of our provisional troops and have the opportunity to get more merit badges or participate in more activities like Sons of Daniel Boone or Outback Rangers. This section is broken down into five main sections: 'For Scouts', 'For Leaders', 'For Parents', 'Special Opportunities' and 'Brownsea'. Hopefully we have anticipated any questions you might have and answered them here. If you have additional questions, feel free to call or email at David.Harris@Scouting.org We look forward to seeing you at camp. |
