Campmaster & Quartermaster

Climbing LogoThe Campmaster Corps is a group of selected, trained, and registered Scouters who serve at council weekend camps whenever Troops, Teams, Webelos dens, or Crews are using any part of the camp property. Campmasters render commissioner-type service to the units in camp, working with and through the youth and adult unit leaders. Typical activities include unit check-in/out, assistance with equipment, and program advice. Campmasters typically serve 2-4 times per year, depending upon the number of available. While on duty at either camp, Campmaster volunteers have use of the Campmaster cabin.

The Quartermaster Corps is a group of dedicated Scouters who donate time and energy to help maintain and build items for the enrichment of the Scouting program at our camps. Quartermaster Corps projects could include anything from making signs; repairing plumbing or electrical fixtures, fencing, or roofing to building complete structures such as many of our campsite shelters. Quartermaster Corps volunteers serve in two ways:
* First, as a ready resource to our Ranger to lend guidance and assistance with maintenance issues that arise around camp; and * Second, as a team of volunteers that gathers several times each year at camp to complete various camp improvement projects.

The group is organized under the leadership of the council camping committee. The two corps are sub-committees of the Council Camping Committee and typically meet together quarterly to discuss scheduling, training and coordinate camp-related issues and potential projects.
